Mazuria

Inspired by Mazury — the lake district of northern Poland, where water and forest dissolve into one another in endless calm.

Sun. Lake. Forest. The scent of a marina.

A motorboat disappears behind the reeds. On the sun — warmed deck, the sails are drying, while the varnished wood gives off the heat of a summer day. The wind carries the scent of sweet flag and lake water. Warm sand remains along the shore; beyond it begins the forest — dark, dry and damp all at once.
