Tatra

Tatra is the scent of elevation. A fragrance that never promises good weather.

At first, the cool, mineral air of Kasprowy Wierch — rock, wind, and open space. Then the clouds roll in: moisture, mosses, lichen, wet forest, and deep green.

Further down, a mountain shepherd’s hut awaits —

the smoke of a fire, oscypek cheese, the damp fleece of sheep, and the lingering moisture of old wood.

Finally, the descent to Ornak, to a house more than a century old, filled with the scent of sun-warmed wood, resin, and smoke.
